When and why did you start training for fighting? I have always enjoyed fighting. However, when my brother set up a heavy bag in our garage and made me hit it during our summer workouts when he was home from college getting ready for his next D1 football season is when we realized I could really do this. I was a senior in high school about to be a freshman in college. Then I went to college and wrestled one year when a friend asked me if I wanted to do an ammy fight if he coached me. I agreed and we trained for three weeks, I knocked the guy out in 13 seconds and just fell in love. I quit wrestling, giving up my scholarship and began my career as a mixed martial artist.

What ranks and titles have you held? Former Kansas 5a wrestling state champion. LFA bantamweight world champion

Do you have any heroes? I am thankful for Jesus, my father, and my coach. I’ve learned so much from them all. I also have followed and learned a lot from J. Cole, Paulo Coelho and Will Smith.

What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It would mean I am finally fighting at the level I should be fighting at. I know that I belong competing with the best fighters in the world.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I graduated nursing school in December 2018 and am now a registered nurse

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a dog trainer while in school and my wife and I own a golden doodle business breeding and providing families with beautiful doodle puppies.
