L'evento in Australia del 3 Marzo segnerà l'introduzione della divisione pesi mosca in UFC con due incontri che determineranno i primi contendenti al primo titolo UFC dei pesi mosca.

L'ex contendente numero uno dei pesi gallo Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson darà battaglia a Ian McCall, e il prospetto di lungo corso delle 135 libbre Joseph Benavidez scenderà anch'esso nelle 125 libbre per affrontare il giapponese Yasuhiro Urushitani.

Alves vs. Kampmann confermato aggiornato il 29 Novembre
“Un potenziale candidato fight of the night è stato verbalmente concordato tra Martin ‘The Hitman' Kampmann e Thiago ‘Pit Bull’ Alves in un incontro dei pesi welter che si svolgerà il prossimo anno" come ha confermato oggi il presidente UFC Dana White.

L'evento sarà trasmesso in USA su FX Network ad inizio Marzo del prossimo anno.
