Edson Barboza ha lasciato la HSBC Arena di Rio de Janeiro come un uomo molto felice. Ha tenuto intatto il suo record di imbattibilità, ha inaugurato la card di UFC RIO con uno spettacolare KO di Terry Etim e nel frattempo si è guadagnato un paio di premi della serata.

Barboza ha guadagnato il Knockout of the Night per il suo spinning wheel kick che ha messo a dormire Etim nel terzo round. Barboza ed Etim si sono inoltre guadagnati il premio Fight of the Night per il loro esaltante scontro.

Rousimar Palhares si è guadagnato la Submission of the Night per la sottomissione per - sorpresa! - chiave alla gamba di Mike Massenzio. Il bonus è stato il secondo nella carriera UFC di "Toquinho".

Ogni bonus ha valore di $65,000.
