TRAINING: I wake up early in the morning to do strength and conditioning Mon, Wed, and Friday. After teaching, I train with the pro team and in the afternoon I do tactical training followed by good cardio at night. On Tuesday and Thursday morning, I do striking drills and circuit training, and in the afternoon some wrestling drills. Saturday is sparring and Tuesday striking sparring. I also teach Jiu-Jitsu classes and I train with my students.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training Jiu-Jitsu when I was 14 years old.
What ranks and titles have you held? Jiu-Jitsu: 2005 European Champion, 2 x Brazilian Champion, 6 x Rio de Janeiro State Champion.
Do you have any heroes? Royler Gracie
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It has been my dream to be part of the UFC; it will be hard to get me out of here
What was your job before you started fighting? I competed in Jiu-Jitsu
