Biografia

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training Muay Thai in 1999, mainly because I was tired of the restrictions of limited contact martial arts. Muay Thai was perfect for me.

What ranks and titles have you held? 2003 ISKA cruiserweight Muay Thai champion (amateur), 2003 ISKA middleweight Muay Thai Tournament champion (pro)

Do you have any heroes? My heroes are Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Bas Rutten, and Wanderlei Silva - natural bad-asses.

What is your favorite technique? Knees, anywhere - face, body, leg, whatever...as long as they land with power

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? To fight in the UFC means everything to me. Staying in the UFC means even more. I've been waiting years for this opportunity.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No college... I went into the Army after high school. I was in boot camp when the ground war started in Iraq.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was working security. My brother and I had a small company with a few contracts - plus some nightclub work.
