When and why did you start training for fighting? I wrestled in high school and one year in college. In 2000 I started training Jiu-Jitsu because I wanted to fight in the UFC. I have wanted to be a fighter since I was a little kid watching Van Damme movies.

What ranks and titles have you held? Ring of Fire lightweight champion (three title defenses, BJJ 4 stripe brown belt under Royce Gracie.

Do you have any heroes? My trainer Jon Crouch. Jon is someone who gives 110% no matter what he does.

What is your favorite technique? Rear naked choke

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC has always been a dream of mine. Now it's a reality.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, but I haven't finished yet.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in sales and I was a delivery driver.
